About Kevin

With over 10 years instrumental teaching & lecturing experience, Kevin has taught a variety of styles across a range of instruments and has gained the skills to make learning music easy, enjoyable & relevant.
Kevin currently teaches full time, as a private tutor and also as a lecturer at Riverside Music College.
He also works as a composer, writing music for TV, Films & Video games.
Currently he has amassed over 2 Million streams of his work alone.
It is his strong belief that each lesson can be approached from many angles, so no matter what you want to learn, there will always be a way to achieve it.
It is encouraged that students try out some other instruments during lessons too, this will help give a broad understanding learning music as a whole.
Lessons can either focus on a specific subject the student chooses, or you can learn through a more structured route such as musical exams.
(SQA, Trinity College London, Trinity Rock & Pop, Rock School, ABRSM etc).
Kevin not only teaches instruments but also offers lessons to supplement all levels of school learning if a student needs extra help preparing for their exams, whether its performing, composing, or listening.

Lesson Prices
30
Mins
30 minute lessons are great for young kids just starting out, or people that would struggle to fit in any more. The lessons are short and sweet giving the student just enough time to take in new information without having to concentrate for too long.
A typical lesson can include learning up to one song, focusing on technique or specific sections, learning to read music or playing through a bunch of songs to build strength.
45
Mins
45 minute lessons are a good choice for any younger musician wanting to take their playing to the next level or for Adults pursuing a new hobby. The additional time is just enough to push what can be done in a single lesson.
In the lesson we have plenty of time to explore playing different styles of music, advanced coordination exercises, applying what you have learned, and working on the fundamentals of becoming a great musician.
60
Mins
60 minute lessons are recommended for students who want to dedicate their time delving deep in to the art of music and take their progression seriously.
Group lessons will also benefit from this time, as it will ensure each student has time to ask questions and get one to one advice.
Teens and adults will get the most from this time as we can spend our lessons building up a strong vocabulary and finding any weaknesses we may have to create a freedom on your instrument at a comfortable pace all within the one lesson.
There may be a small travel fee included in lesson cost if lessons take place at your home, I try my best to avoid including this.
The fee is decided on a per client basis, depending on distance or time travelled.
Lessons taking place at my studio or online are not affected by this fee.
